Local Ministries

We're dedicated to uplifting our local community, offering support and compassion to all its members.

Clothes Closet: Weirton Heights Church of Christ operates a Clothes Closet which is open to the community. The Clothes Closet is on the left side of our Fellowship Hall in the back of the church parking lot. Our Clothes Closet is open each Tuesday from 9am-12pm or by appointment. Clothing donations can be dropped off at any time, placed in the bin labeled for donations outside the Clothes Closet door. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit the Clothes Closet, please give us a call at (304) 723-1160.

Benevolence: Each month we set aside funds to assist local families who are in need.

Boo Boo Bears: Homemade bears are given to children at local hospitals throughout the area.

Brooke Backpack Project: The members of our congregation team up with a local school district (Brooke County Schools) to provide backpacks and school supplies for families with school age children in need.

Thanksgiving Baskets: Items are donated and baskets are assembled by the congregation and then provided to those in need in our local community.

Nursing Home Visits: We have scheduled Sunday devotionals at our local Nursing Homes and Senior Centers. The Second Sunday of Each Month: 2pm at Carriage Inn Nursing Home (Steubenville) and 2:45pm at Lancia's Nursing Home (Steubenville). The Fourth Sunday of Each Month: 2pm at Woodland Hills Nursing Home (Weirton).

Potter Children's Home and Family Ministries: The mission of  Potter Children’s Home & Family Ministries is to be a tool in the hands of supporting churches of Christ and individual Christians to deliver God’s justice and mercy to children and families in need.  Click here for more information.

Mid-Western Children's Home: Mid-Western Children's Home reaches out to touch the lives of children in need of physical, spiritual, and emotional healing.  Click here for more information.

West Virginia School of Preaching: West Virginia School of Preaching is under the oversight of the elders of the Hillview Terrace Church of Christ, its support comes from congregations and members of the church of Christ, and is designed for those who have shown themselves faithful members of the church of Christ.  We aim to train preachers in the vein of Paul’s instructions to Timothy, “…commit these things to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” Click here for more information.
