Youth Group

"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

Our vibrant Youth Group at Weirton Heights Church of Christ is driven to share the joy they have in their hearts with all those they encounter. It's not just about fun and friendship, though; it's a vital space where our young members discover their faith and values through God's inspired word.

Engaging activities, bible studies, and fellowship help them build strong foundations for life, connect with peers, and grow in their relationship with God, all while creating lifelong memories and lasting bonds. Join us to witness out how God makes such a difference in our lives.

Let your youth find a supportive and enriching community where they can thrive and develop their faith.

Here are some activities we are actively involved in:

The Miami Valley Bible Bowl offers a friendly competitive experience for students in grades 4-12. Its primary purpose is to foster a deep understanding of the Bible while creating enduring friendships along the way. The two-day competition, held the first weekend in March each year, includes multiple choice and speed round (Jeopardy-style) question and answer sessions. Our youth gathers every Sunday for a few months prior to the competition to study and practice together. This is a great opportunity for kids as they grow their relationship with God, their own youth group, and Christians from other congregations.

Weirton Heights Church of Christ hosts Vacation Bible School each summer. Kids and teens will do crafts, view drama skits, participate in activities, and complete workbooks that are true to scripture. For those who wish to be even more involved, kids are also welcome to be actors in the skits. Each VBS culminates in a fun, Friday evening picnic at Hanover Township Community Park in Burgettstown, PA.

There are a few different church camps that some of our youth attend each summer, such as the Chester Church Camp in New Manchester, WV and NOCYC in Lisbon, OH. These camps are dedicated to teaching, good fellowship, and wholesome recreation, consistent with Christian standards and purposes.
